For my part I think this is a great album, while there are songs I would replace on this album with others, I think the powers that be have got this record pretty much right. Otis is the epitome of soul. Otis Redding has about 4 songs that are catch all songs, and they have to be included on any album but after that this artist has made so much music that it is impossible to create a greatest hits album without disappointing someone.
Every song here is great. This is a great album that is not definitive but comes as dam close as any album I have come across. You can listen to this album over and over again.
This is the type of album that is impossible to get right. It is not the definitive Redding collection, but with that said you can put this in your cd player and forget about it. I love this man.
I am sure this album will have the affect of generating as much praise as genuine outrage. In the end if you think you can buy only one album of Otis Redding and get all the music you need then I feel sorry for you.This is a great record.
However, the whole CD is great. I purchased this CD for two particular songs I love.
Great delivery service also. Great memories. A classical CD to go with my vinyl.
My friends and I danced and cried this this wonderful music. That was a happy time and Otis was certainly a part of it. I can't stop playing it. The memory of my teens years come back to me.
Always wanted something by him & finally got it. A very good CD, showing his great talent.
